An Area (also known as a partition) is a term used to define a section or separation in a building or property. Different alarm systems have different numbers of Areas that can be configured.
If your alarm system supports multiple areas, a technician can set various parts of a building or property to individual areas.
For example, if a home has a separate cottage that is separate from the main house, the main house would be set up as the first area and the cottage as a second area. This example can be seen in the Home screen of the security app below.
